I love Sketches!!

Sketches are awesome!  I tend to work off a lot of sketches as they are so forgiving for you to "create" and make the project your own design.  I often hear from scrappers that when "scraplifting" they have to have the same paper, embellishments, etc. in order for their design to turn out like the original creator.
