Today is Thrifty Thursday on My Creative Time Blog. The goal is to create a project using scraps/leftovers or a recycled item.
Last month we tried a technique on a card called "slide puzzle" design. I had made two different bases but ended up picking the vine one when I used it here. With the butterfly background piece sitting on my desk, I thought this was the perfect time to use it and make a card!! The butterfly die cut was also from another project I just didn't use. I think I could have used this card for "made in minutes" too with everything pre-done! Love using scraps or leftovers for quick results!
I embossed the background using the butterfly stamp and then colored in with mini distress inks and the handy dandy little circle blending tool ~ so fun!

This card I thought was perfect for "Thrifty Thursday" as I used all washi tape strips instead of pattern paper ~ super easy!

ReplyDeleteWow! Way back in July...the vine was a better choice for the slider puzzle card. I love how it turned out for today's card. Your washi card is so pretty! Just the tape, sequins and a cute tag made a great card.
