Try Me Tuesday

It's Try Me Tuesday over at My Creative Time.  Today we are creating our own stencils.  I made a couple of cards from two different stencils I made and used two different techniques with these stencils.  To make the stencils, I took craft plastic and then cut dies as if cutting out of paper.  This was super fun to do!!
Sorry for the picture quality, was having "issues" with my camera!!

First card, I used Embossing Paste on the stencil when I placed it on the card front.  I added some shimmering sand into the white paste to add a little "sparkle" to the butterflies.
Using the paste over the stencil was way too much fun ~ definitely will be using this technique more!!

Embossing Paste: Dreamweaver
Shimmering Sand

For my second card, I used the new leaf dies to create my stencil and then used distress inks with blending tool to ink up the stencil on the stamped background card front.  So many ways you can use stencils so to create your own is awesome!!
Inking the stencil gives an awesome look and shows the background through.
