We have gotten in a few of the new Spring 2012 Core Collection. One of the dies is the Disk Envelope and as soon as I saw it I instantly thought it was perfect for a card! With the pocket effect it makes when you open the tab it's perfect for a gift card, note or money. I made this card for my husband who will be celebrating a birthday tomorrow.
(dies used: Disk Envelope, 2x2 candle and 4x4 Baked Goods)
I love altering items to suit my needs and make them unique! I took simple calendar wood blocks and altered them to be more than just a calendar block. I added a clothes peg to the middle back and then added a matted frame for a picture and clipped on a daily sentiment. These make great gifts to give anyone!!
(dies used: Nesting frame 3 ~ could have used any numbers set but needed to make a bunch of these so used my Cameo)
February is a huge Birthday month for me ~ not only is it my Birthday, but many friends and even my husband!! I've made a few cards and a gift bag, now trying to finish what will go inside the gift bag......
(dies used: Special Delivery set, Nesting stars and Nesting circles)
I saw on Pinterest (so many ideas!!) someone had purchased a poster of "typestaches" in New York and then had it framed. I thought it would be fun to re-create the poster and would make a great birthday gift for a co-worker who loves mustaches. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all the different "staches" in different fonts and then used Microsoft word program to lay out the design and label each "stache". Once this was done, I thought it was too cute and decided to use different brackets of Lifestyle Crafts fonts and make my own "fontstaches" version. Waiting on 3 of the new fonts coming in the next couple of months to complete my frame....
(dies used: High Rise, Manhattan, Dragonfly, Paper Doll and Splendid)
My daughter loves to play restaurant and she is the waitress. She was just sticking a piece of paper with her name on her clothes as a "name tag" so I decided she needed to get professional to be taken seriously (lol). Her brother decided that was kinda cool and wanted one too. This little role playing is really helping her spell words which is great ~ maybe I need to make up menus next!
