Teacher Gifts

Schools almost out for Summer!!!  I made the teachers a farewell gift and I had lots of fun making them!!  So the gift cards I made yesterday, I attached to another project I handcrafted ~ yes sometimes I feel that a gift card is just not enough!!!  Well as I said yesterday, my daughter's teacher loves Starbucks so I made her very own "logo" out of vinyl and attached to a tumbler I bought.  Loved the way it turned out so also made my dad one that says "Grampa's Coffee".  How fun is vinyl!!!

For my son's teacher, I took a cute little vase and made a bouquet of flowers.  This serves as a multi-purpose gift where she gets to spend the gift card on herself and display the vase on her desk!  Super fun!!

Made in Minutes

It's Made in Minutes over on the My Creative Time Blog.
Our challenge is to design something that is "made in minutes" ~ with the products offered by My Creative Time, it's super fun and easy to do!!

I made up a couple of gift card holders for my kids teachers since this is their last week of school.  They took me over 14 minutes to complete but I did have the die cuts done ahead of time!

My daughter's teacher loves Star Wars & Starbucks so I combined both passions onto one card!  I think she will completely appreciate this gift card!  My son's teacher loves Target which is universal to any design so I had fun incorporating bright colors!  Stay tuned tomorrow to see what I created for each of these gift cards to be attached to for the teachers ~ they will be impressed :~)

Super fun to make this card!!

Birthday Party!

My daughter is having her birthday party with friends this weekend and the theme is "backyard water fun"!  I purchased the cutest boy & girl SVG images and knew I had to make some kind of treat box with them!  These little boxes were soooo fun to make!  I customized the hair color on the boy & girl cuts to match with the friends that will be coming to the party.  After the boxes were complete, I added a bottle of bubbles, a mini recorder (parents will love me - lol!) and some candy.  Love how they turned out!

I added the "thank you" with My Creative Time labels and sentiment stamp. I just love this little guy!!
With the girl cuts, I added flowers with gems in the hair and then gems on the flip flops.
For my daughter's box, I customized with "Birthday Girl" on the label.

Designer Challenge - Masculine Theme

Today we are having a MCT Challenge on the My Creative Time blog.  The challenge is to make a Masculine Themed card or anything "guyish"!  With Father's Day coming really soon, I took this opportunity to create a gift for my Dad.  This wrench box is absolutely perfect for my Dad and he is going to LOVE it and then say I get my talent from him ~ lol!!  Gotta keep up my "Daddy's little girl" status!!   Want to play along with our Masculine Theme ~ Join our challenge!!
It fits a regular size candy bar ~ isn't it adorable!!

I used a lot of Emma's goodies on the tag ~ LOVE the Social Media dies.  I used it for #AWESOME!
Close up look at all the details of the tag.

Inspiration Wednesday

Today is Inspiration Wednesday over at My Creative Time! This is when we create a project that was inspired by colors, a picture, someone else's creation or whatever.

Today my project was totally inspired by a couple of my DT sisters, CindyLucia. During sneak peek week and the blog hop for May's release, they made cards with the cutest lifesaver on them. The way Lucia used the new circle dies to create her lifesaver was awesome and Emily adding a face to her cut out lifesaver was super cute!  So I combined both these techniques and created my own lifesaver!  This was perfect timing as I made up these cute little bags to give friends at a Brunch I went to this week filled with, of course, Lifesavers!  Thank you ladies for the awesome idea and inspiration ~ You Rock!!

After cutting out the treat box ~ I stamped with the new Stripey Background to give it a pop as it looked a little boring in plain cardstock.  Lovin' the new background stamps!!
Close up of handmade lifesaver ~ added yarn around outside as rope.

I purchased the new Happy Tails Collection by Bo Bunny and was inspired to create a layout with our cat.  Yes he's the King, of our home, the neighborhood and our hearts!!  Everyone knows Milo and he's sure to leave a footprint on your heart, or at least a paw in the face!
