layouts and cards

I made a couple of layouts and some cards with the new For the Record 2 paper collections by Echo Park Paper.  I also incorporated some of the newer dies from QuicKutz.

Change the look of a font die by running the cut letters through a crimper tool.

(dies used: Nesting Circles, Nesting Stars and Carousel Font)

 Did you know that you can just use the edge of the Nesting Frame dies to get an "edge" look?  Just slip the paper under and over before cutting out.

The Punches dies are great for when you have to have multiple cuts of one die for cards.

Use the rosette dies as borders instead of turning into a circle.

One Die ~ Two Looks

So many dies can be transformed into different things other than what the original die is. Take the new 2x2 sun for example, I created the original sun and then made it into an award ribbon.  Use your creativity and extend your dies into other items!!

I've created this desk calendar for a class in September at Paper Cottage.  I used many QuicKutz dies, both old and new!!  Here is just a sample of it:
