Inspiration Wednesday

Today is Inspiration Wednesday over at My Creative Time! This is when we create a project that was inspired by colors, a picture, someone else's creation or whatever.

What inspired me was the tag I made yesterday!  The papers sitting on my desk and the design of the tag gave me inspiration to create a treat bag to give friends this 4th of July!!  Filled with crunch chocolate bars & 4th themed tootsie rolls ~ this is the perfect little gift!

Tag It Tuesday

Today is Tag It Tuesday over on My Creative Time blog.
We are to make any tag today!  Since the 4th of July is coming up soon, I made a tag to go on a treat bag of those little "snapper" fireworks that you can buy.  The box is just too boring ~ I needed to MCTify it!!  Cute little gift to give this holiday!

Scrapping the Little Things with a Sketch

Today we are doing a little twist with Scrapping the Little Things and adding a Sketch on My Creative Time Blog.  The goal was to create a project using this sketch.

I absolutely love sketches!!  They give you a great "blueprint" to get creative with your design!

Here is the layout I created from this sketch:

So what do you think??  Kept with the basics of the sketch??  What would you design around this sketch?

Here are some close ups of the dies I used:

Stitched Stars are perfect for 4th of July Projects!

Used the Bunch of Fun Circles to match silhouette circles with the large one.

Changed up the title to give a different look.

Whatever Wednesday

It's another Whatever Wednesday over on My Creative Time blog.
My daughter's best friend moved and I thought to make them each a frame that they can display in their rooms to remember each other. (fortunately she just moved down the street so they can still see each other, just not everyday!)  I used the same paper line from the layout I did of these two cute girls and covered a couple of DIY frames.  The girls were thrilled with them!!

Love the new butterfly dies!!  I added Stickles to the wings for a girly shine.
I altered the "best friends" title I cut out on the silhouette by adding the stitched flowers and leaves of Emma's ~ love it!!

Teacher Gifts

Schools almost out for Summer!!!  I made the teachers a farewell gift and I had lots of fun making them!!  So the gift cards I made yesterday, I attached to another project I handcrafted ~ yes sometimes I feel that a gift card is just not enough!!!  Well as I said yesterday, my daughter's teacher loves Starbucks so I made her very own "logo" out of vinyl and attached to a tumbler I bought.  Loved the way it turned out so also made my dad one that says "Grampa's Coffee".  How fun is vinyl!!!

For my son's teacher, I took a cute little vase and made a bouquet of flowers.  This serves as a multi-purpose gift where she gets to spend the gift card on herself and display the vase on her desk!  Super fun!!

Made in Minutes

It's Made in Minutes over on the My Creative Time Blog.
Our challenge is to design something that is "made in minutes" ~ with the products offered by My Creative Time, it's super fun and easy to do!!

I made up a couple of gift card holders for my kids teachers since this is their last week of school.  They took me over 14 minutes to complete but I did have the die cuts done ahead of time!

My daughter's teacher loves Star Wars & Starbucks so I combined both passions onto one card!  I think she will completely appreciate this gift card!  My son's teacher loves Target which is universal to any design so I had fun incorporating bright colors!  Stay tuned tomorrow to see what I created for each of these gift cards to be attached to for the teachers ~ they will be impressed :~)

Super fun to make this card!!
