Today is Scrapping the Little Things on the My Creative Time blog.
I love the new collection Good Day Sunshine by Simple Stories with the bright, happy colors perfect for summer fun pictures!!  We were to use this photo for inspiration in creating our layout, but I really wanted to use this paper collection......I still incorporated the summer, beachy look from the picture ~ lol!!

Here is my layout:

Box Card

My Mom asked me to make a "Wow" 50th Anniversary card for her friends.  I've always wanted to make one of the latest trend cards, the pop out box card, so I took this opportunity to make one!  I think I succeeded with the "Wow" factor my Mom wanted......

Thrifty Thursday

Today is Thrifty Thursday on My Creative Time Blog. The goal is to create a project using scraps/leftovers or a recycled item.
I made a treat box from 2 tag dies I had leftover from a project as well as a card using scraps from the 4th layout I did last week.  Scraps and leftover dies come in really handy!!

For the treat box, I took two tag die cuts and then scored them at 3.5" as shown here:
Then I glued the tags together on the scored, folded part as shown here:
Next, I took a piece of scrap pattern paper, 2x8 and scored it at 1.5", 2.75", 5.25" and 6.5". I glued this piece around the tags to create the box. You do not glue the sides of the paper. I decorated the front with leftover dies I had from doing other 4th of July projects. I put crunch mini chocolate bars inside the box and tied it up! Easy & Cute!!

This card I made from left over scraps from the layout I did last week.  I just added some die cuts and did the sentiment the same as the layout title. Love the new Happy Thoughts coordinating dies!!

Made in Minutes

It's Made in Minutes over on the My Creative Time Blog. Our challenge is to design something that is "made in minutes" ~ with the products offered by My Creative Time, it's super fun and easy to do!!

I'm just loving the new bee stamp set and dies!!  This card maybe took me 12 minutes to complete. I layered pattern paper on black and then pop dotted white paper that I cut hexagons out of on left onto the pattern paper.  I stamped the sentiment and "bee" tail right onto white cardstock and then pop dotted a die cut bee to card front.  Super easy & super cute!!

After stamping the bee die cut, I used Wink of Stella yellow to color in the bee body and then Wink of Stella clear glitter pen for the wings ~ the shine really added to the little guy!
