Paper Dolls

I loved Paper Dolls growning up and now I'm "creating" my own with the help of QuicKutz!  Good thing is that I get to glue them on my page and not have pieces missing or torn (used to get very upset when the tabs tore on my paper dolls!)  To be honest, when the line of Paper Doll dies were released by QuicKutz I was a little unsure as I'm not one to have a lot of time to put dies together but wow was I surprised!  Here is a page I created with the ballerina outfits die and I had to make 2 as my daughter had to have one too ~ it only took me minutes to create them!  Check out the line of Paper Doll dies we have in store ~ add some "wow" to your pages!!

Embossing Folder idea

Have you seen the new apple embossing folder??  How great it is for many cards, like teachers, get well or even a recipe. As schools begin to end for the summer, create this card to thank a teacher.
(dies used: 2x2 label, Apple Embossing folder and Cookie Cutter Recipe die set for the apple)

Create your own Banner!

Banners are a huge thing this spring and summer ~ you see them on papers and embellishments. Well you can create your own with QuicKutz new border die ~ ZigZag Edges! This banner is cut from the ZigZag Edges die, it's the negative of the die, the piece that is left over. And since it was cut very close to the edge of the cardstock, the die-cut is shapeable! I used a new sticker alphabet sheet for the "happy" but any smaller QuicKutz alphabet will fit nicely in this "banner"! Get creative with your dies!!

Did You Know??

You can emboss with QuicKutz dies? Yes you can and here's how:
First, remove the ejection foam from the die. (see picture)
Second, using the emboss/cutting mat for the Epic, lay down the die, then the paper and then the rubber mat. (you will need a rubber mat which Paper Cottage sells to do this technique)

Run the plates through your Epic.

Remove the plate and see the results!
Get more out of your dies with this technique!!

Embossing Folders

We just received in a shipment of embossing folders ~ new and older ones!! Did you know that you can use embossing folders more than one way?? You can run paper through with the embossing folder and you can also use it with ink. The trick? Ink the embossing folder before you send it through your Epic!

After you have inked the embossing folder, place your paper on it and then run through your Epic.  After you are done, just wipe down your embossing folder with a baby wipe and the ink comes right off ~ this technique will not ruin your folders. Here is a look at a finished card where I ink embossed the background and also the cupcake. Takes your embossing folders to another level and I'm all about getting more out of your dies or in this case Embossing Folders!!  Try this technique today!!
