Today is Thrifty Thursday on My Creative Time Blog. The goal is to create a project using scraps/leftovers or a recycled item.
I made a treat box from 2 tag dies I had leftover from a project as well as a card using scraps from the 4th layout I did last week. Scraps and leftover dies come in really handy!!
For the treat box, I took two tag die cuts and then scored them at 3.5" as shown here:
Then I glued the tags together on the scored, folded part as shown here:
Next, I took a piece of scrap pattern paper, 2x8 and scored it at 1.5", 2.75", 5.25" and 6.5". I glued this piece around the tags to create the box. You do not glue the sides of the paper. I decorated the front with leftover dies I had from doing other 4th of July projects. I put crunch mini chocolate bars inside the box and tied it up! Easy & Cute!!

Your treat box is sweet! Super idea...how clever! Your card is beautiful...and to think these were just scraps. Extra die cuts do come in handy. Great job!
