Today is the My Creative Time mini Head of the Class Blog Hop! If you would like to start at the beginning, click here. If you have arrived from Lucia's blog then you are on the right track.

We have 5 stamps and die sets to show you.  Let me warn you, all are an absolute must have!!  They all co-ordinate so well together for not only school theme projects but everyday projects as well!!
Up first, I'm showcasing the new stamp set, "Write On" ~ so many sentiments in this set!!

Don't you just love it!!!  I made a layout and 2 projects using this set.  I know I could have done more with all the sayings but ran out of time ~ lol!!
Here is my layout. You can see I used a couple of the full sentiments and then used the number stamps for the year as well as the labels for the grades my kids were in.
Also with this layout, the pencil and apple are new dies from "Love to Learn" and the title is the new "Uppercase Fun Dies"!

What a Treat!

Today we are starting a new feature in place of "Whatever Wednesday" over on My Creative Time Blog.
We are to make treat bags, boxes and containers of any style we like.  I'm gonna love this day as I'm all about making gifty items!!  Since my daughter started back at school this week, I incorporated making the teacher a "back to school" gift.  This pencil box is too stinkin' cute!!
My daughter's new teacher loves washi tape so I filled the inside of this cute box with rolls of tape.

I created this tag using lots of MCT Products and tied it around the box.  Did you also notice how I used the wood background stamp for the "wood" part on the pencil.  I couldn't believe how much it made this pencil even cuter!!

The banner on the tag with "4 U Teacher", I used the banner from Chocolate Greetings, but cut it twice to get the V on both ends and fit the sentiment perfectly.  I'm excited about the apple I made in the center of the circle ~ I took the technique I learned from "Stretch your Stamps" that I saw the video here and used "Build a Pretty Flower" to create.  After stamping, I just fussy cut around and added Wink of Stella for some shine!

Made in Minutes

It's Made in Minutes over on the My Creative Time Blog. Our challenge is to design something that is "made in minutes" ~ with the products offered by My Creative Time, it's super fun and easy to do!!

This card took me about 20 minutes to complete.  I had the anchor cut and put together from another project that I didn't use so that saved a lot of time.  Any die cuts I've cut but don't use, I put back into the die cut bag so when I go to use that die cut, I may find the perfect cut already done!!

With the sentiment, I used the new stitched decorative banners die but cut it out in rectangular shape instead of the angled end ~ gave a whole new look to the cut!!

Other Products Used:
Paper: Carta Bella ~ Ahoy There 6x6 Pad
Twine and enamel dots

Because my first card was so quick to make and I was still in the crafting mood, I made this card pretty darn quick too!!!  This card maybe took me 15 minutes.  Love the coffee die and stamps!!

Guess I'm into "altering" the new banner dies ~ here I took the largest from the Trio Stitched Banners and on the left end I added 2 more score lines to make it kinda look bunched up.  Did you know you can add score lines to these dies and really make a different look??

Designer Challenge - Color Palette

Today we are having a MCT Designer Challenge on the My Creative Time blog.  The challenge is to use the following photo inspiration & color palette.  I love this photo, so vibrant but I kinda struggled with these colors.  I don't know why but the first card I attempted to make was a disaster and I "flew" it into the garbage.  Ever have one of those days where you just cannot get your creative juices going??

Here is my card ~ I tried to keep with the same color shades but it's super hard when you print the picture, look at it on your computer and then add it to your blog. I swear it seems like I've seen 3 shades of each color ~ lol!!

Lovin' the new stitched banner dies!!

Scrapping the Little Things

Today is Scrapping the Little Things on the My Creative Time blog. We were to create a scrapbook layout based on this sketch.

Here is my take on this layout sketch.
I made a couple of the embellishments for this layout out of different dies.  For the sun I used a circle die and then the small label from Vintage Labels.  Also, did you know that you can use a square die to make the "banner" look on large paper strips??  From the layout sketch, you can see the large red banner piece, well I just took the 4x4 Journal die and laid it on the paper piece then ran it through my die cut machine.  Take a look here how you can do this:

Step 1~ secure die with washi tape                                    Step 2 ~ flip paper and die over to cut

Step 3 ~ remove cut piece                                                                          Step 4 ~ nice cut banner!

My Creative Time Blog Hop

Today is the My Creative Time 34th Edition Release Blog Hop!
If you would like to start at the beginning, click here. If you have arrived from Lucia's blog then you are on the right track.

I'm showcasing one of the new banner dies ~ Trio Stitched Banners. This die has many uses, once you cut them out, you will see the possibilities!!

I made a layout showing this banner die in a couple of different ways.  These two cuties though really steal the spotlight ~ lol!!

Here you can see the medium and large banners used where I just folded on the pre-scored lines after you cut them.  I used pop dots on the back to raise the banners up a bit but not too much since it's a layout. You can put these banners as high as you want.  Plus you can add another score line to get really flat if you want too!

Here you can see how I used the banners to add a little embellishment to the layout ~ I just folded one end and stuck the banner under the paper.  I see creating a "bow" out of these banners in my future.....
